Yerevan, 12th of January, Armpress; 220/110/35 kV “Lichq” substation was rehabilitated at the own funds of “High Voltage Electric Networks” CJSC. The company informed about this to Armpress, emphasizing that the substation is of crucial importance in terms of increasing the level of reliability and safety of the power transmission system of Armenia.
Rehabilitation works have been carried out by “Kaskad-Energo” company. The substation has been in operation since 1966. As a result of reconstruction works started in 2020, the worn-out and obsolete equipment of the substation were replaced with new ones equipped with modern technologies.
220, 110, 35 kV equipment and their foundations, two 63 MVA autotransformers, as well as two 35/35 kV boost transformers have been dismantled. Two new 125 MVA autotransformers, two new 35/35 kV boost transformers as well as 220/110/35 kV new equipment have been installed. A new building of 35 kV CSG have been constructed during the project.
Relay protection and automation systems were completely replaced and digitized as well.
The area of the substation was improved, the fence was rehabilitated, and the video surveillance systems have been installed.
