A working meeting was held at "High Voltage Electric Networks" company, during which the construction work process and future plans of "Iran-Armenia 400 kV overhead transmission line and related substation" were discussed.
At the meeting were present Deputy Minister of Energy of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) Homayoun Haeri the representatives of "Sunir” Company, the General Contractor of Iran- Armenia 400 kV transmission line construction project, as well as the representatives of "Tavanir” Company.
According to Hayk Harutyunyan, General Director of “High Voltage Electric Networks” Company, Iran-Armenia 400 kV third overhead transmission line and the “Noravan” substation have an important role and meaning for the energy systems of Armenia and Iran, regarding the increase of power exchange capacity as well as for ensuring the reliability of parallel work of power systems of both countries.
The construction of OH is divided into six sections and covers the regions of Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor and Syunik. The participants of the meeting stated that they will continue to be consistent for carrying out properly the construction works of high voltage third overhead transmission line and substation.
