220/110/35 kV “Lichk\" substation was reconstructed

220/110/35 kV "Lichq" substation was reconstructed at the expenses of "High Voltage Electric Networks" CJS company's own funds. The reconstruction of the substation is of crucial importance for increasing the level of reliability and safety of the Armenia power transmission system.

The reconstruction works were carried out by "Kaskad-Energo" company. "Lichq" substation was operated since 1966. As a result of the works started in 2020, the worn-out and obsolete equipment of the substation was replaced with new, up-to-date technologies. In particular, 220/110/35 kV equipment and their foundations, two 63 MVA autotransformers, as well as two line boost 35/35 kV transformers were dismantled. Two new 125 MVA autotransformers, two new 35/35 kV line boost transformers, as well as new 220/110 kV equipment were installed. Within the framework of the project, a new 35 kV OSY building was built.

The relay protection and automation equipment were also completely replaced and digitized.
