A meeting has lately been held at HVEN CJSC Goris Branch/ Shinuhayr 220/110/35/6 kV Substation, during which current and prospective works were discussed within the frameworks of the project “Construction of Iran-Armenia 400kV Third Transmission Line and Noravan Substation”.With the head of HVEN CJSC General Director Aram Ananyan, the representative of the Staff of Iran’s President J. Aflaji, Advisor to the Minister of Energy H. Hayeri, Deputy General Director of Sunir company M. Hojat got acquainted with the 400/220/20kV Noravan Substation construction process at site, discussed the time schedule as well as questions related to the completion of works within the foreseen deadline. The results of the out-of-country working meeting were finalized by the Armenian and Iranian colleagues at the office of RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Levon Yolyan. They stressed the importance of finishing the “Construction of 400kV Iran-Armenia Third Transmission Line and Noravan Substation” project in due time and with high quality, as its implementation will provide opportunity to bring the energy flows between Armenia and Islamic Republic of Iran to 1000MWt from the initial 350MWt, enhance the reliability and stability of parallel operation of energy systems of RA and Islamic Republic of Iran, enhance the level of RA energy safety, and by strengthening the Republic’s North-South energy connection enhance the reliability and stability of RA energy system fully utilizing the capacity of Iran-Armenia gas pipeline within the frameworks of the project “Gas against Electricity”.
