On June 14, took place acceptance event of 220/110/35 kV "Lichq" substation of "High Voltage Electric Networks" company.
The participants of the event walked around the substation area, got acquainted with the huge works done within the framework of the reconstruction, after which the session of the commissioning commission of the finished construction object was also held.
220/110/35kV “Lichq” substation was reconstructed by the company "High Voltage Electric Networks" with its own funds. The substation is of great importance in terms of increasing the level of reliability and safety of the power transmission system of Armenia.
Reconstruction works were carried out by "Cascade-Energo" company. The substation has been in operation since 1966. As a result of the reconstruction works started in 2020, the physically and morally worn out equipment of the substation was replaced with new equipment equipped with modern technologies.
220, 110, 35 kV equipment and their foundations, two 63 MVA autotransformers, as well as two 35/35 kV linear boost transformers were dismantled. Two new autotransformers with a capacity of 125 MVA, two new 35/35 kV linear boost transformers, as well as new 220, 110, 35 kV equipment were installed. A new 35 kV ISG building was also built within the project.
The relay protection and automation systems were completely replaced and digitized.
The area of the substation was improved, the fence was rebuilt and video surveillance systems were installed.
