Consultation at "High-Voltage Electric Networks" Company

On October 16, under the leadership of Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, Hakob Vardanyan, a consultation was held at the "High-Voltage Electric Networks" company, during which the progress of the company's investment programs was discussed, and upcoming tasks were clarified.

The "High-Voltage Electric Networks" company, with the support of international financial organizations as well as its own funds, is implementing several investment programs. In particular, these include the "Caucasian Electricity Transmission Network I-III" (Armenia-Georgia transmission line/substations) project, the "Iran-Armenia 400 kV Overhead Transmission Line and Corresponding Substation (400/220/20 kV Noravan) Construction" project, and the reconstruction of the "Agarak-2," "Shinuhair," "Charentsavan-3," "Zovuni," and "Ararat-2" substations. The implementation of these projects will enhance the reliability of the energy system and reduce substation operating costs. Additionally, with the asynchronous connection between the energy systems of Armenia and Georgia, Armenia's energy system, apart from its connection with Iran (through the construction of the third Iran-Armenia 400 kV transmission line), will also be linked to Georgia, Russia, and other countries in the region.

During the consultation, the Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of promptly completing the connection of the Musaler 220 kV overhead line to the 220 kV BBS in an in-and-out scheme. He also noted the necessity of temporarily operating the Ddmashen TPP-Noravan TPP 400 kV overhead line at 220 kV voltage.

The responsible officials of "High-Voltage Electric Networks" CJSC were instructed to visit construction sites regularly, familiarize themselves with the progress of the work on-site, effectively address any issues arising during reconstruction activities, and maintain strict oversight to ensure high-quality execution of the projects.
